I'm four years late to the party, but that probably wasn't dud round. I've seen other videos that had the same problem, and it appears that from the factory there may be a problem with sticky residue on the striker. The problem appears to be to completely strip, clean and relube the bolt components. No doubt you've already done this procedure by now. It's a fairly simple thing to do.

Is the 605 comfortable to carry for conceal carry? I know with the 605 you can shot 38 special, plus P, and 357 so very versatile

Nice gun. I have a 605 that I bought afew years ago at MC Sports. Mine is blued with a 3" barrel, good gun, never had any problems with it.

That 605 is in nice shape, I've had mine for a few years . Only issue I've had was the ejector loosened after a couple of years, and made opening the cylinder tough . Tighten it up and been running fine

Sigs are my favorite but I like and own a Taurus or 5. I was on the live show where y'all were drinking seltzer and when he added Milk Duds I was ready to barf!!

The 10rd mags have a removable block to allow 12 rds.

Hey garage guy do you still have that charter arms 357, if so how are you liking it.

I have this pistol and I also have the Smith & Wesson Victory. The Ruger's sights are vastly inferior to hi viz fiber optic sights on the Victory. There's no excuse, given there's about a $90 price difference. In addition, the Victory is stainless steel. I will admit that the takedown is slightly easier on the Ruger, and the grips on the Ruger are wood and more attractive than the cheap looking plastic grips on the Victory. Bottom line: out of the box, the Victory is a true target pistol whereas I will have to spend extra to get sights that are the equal of the sights on the Victory.

PPQ is alot better than P22Q. I recently got into 22lr bought 4 pistols since ammo are so CHEAP.

Shame the details just not there, clearly see the screw sticking through. Good honest review Brother

Longer grips are nice, but these don't fill in behind the trigger guard, possibly resulting in middle finger discomfort. However, almost any Colt Detective Special grip should fit.

I had a Taurus 605 that I put a larger grip on too. Helped shootability a lot. Sold it last year, it was a great little gun. Enjoyed your video, as always!

Hi Mark! I've good results from Blazer Aluminum. Other brands not so good. I'm really interested in those grip you've got on the Rocky. Loved the wood grips, but they left the backstrap exposed and it would tear up the web of my hand. I never liked the plastic grips.

A few years ago my sister got a couple boxes of 40 s&w aluminum and was worried about shooting them , so I swapped them with some brass ones I had . They were blazer and shot fine and were cleaner than some other ammo I have used. The only issue I've had was shooting 357 steel case , I got when purchasing my 605 years ago. They didn't want to fully eject and after a few they needed pushed out
